As an investor, it is important to understand the most appropriate product for your investment style, budget and risk tolerance. Some investors take the time to tie details around the world to reach a conclusion. Some are pure numbers gamblers, while most are looking for the next smart idea.

I recently came across a new (free) investment research platform. WallStreetZen. WallStreetZen is a newer platform but I think it has some nice features so I wanted to share it and provide a comprehensive rating for users.

Here in my WallStreetZen review I will explain what makes WallStreetZen a unique service and for whom this service is intended. Enjoy!

What is WallStreetZen?

WallStreetZen is the most cutting edge stock research platform that isn’t just about data. It’s a tool that will help anyone interpret the data they need. Their goal is to help part-time investors like you make better long-term investment decisions.

WallStreetZen was founded because its founders were disappointed with current stock research sites. Because of this, they wanted to create a better and more streamlined stock analysis experience. This is especially intended for serious investors who want to better understand the stocks they invest in but are not financial experts.

In general, for stock research, the idea behind this website is simple. Many stock research websites are built by financial professionals, for financial professionals. This leads to a lot of dense tables of numbers and financial metrics.

The thing is, they don’t give you the contexts necessary to better understand the data. But with WallStreetZen you definitely get what you need.

WallStreetZen Review – What Can It Offer?

WallStreetZen is not your typical equity research platform. It takes a different approach by not just showing financial data. It helps you interpret these while understanding the context.

It does this with beautiful graphs and charts. You won’t find detailed breakdowns of line items from a year-end close here. However, you will find some detailed graphics to help you put these financial statements in perspective. Check ours AAPLs Balance below.

Although you won’t get the details, these graphs provide a great overview and overview of the overall knowledge of the company data.

Intrinsic visualizations for important context

WallStreetZen uses intuitive data visualizations together with an automated inventory analysis. These will help you better grasp the fundamentals of the stock in just a few minutes. You don’t need a financial background or expertise to understand these.

Get instant snapshots of historical trends as well as the industry benchmarks you were looking for. And that without having to spend so many hours looking at tables.

Stock Screener (Free)

You can use the free stock screener to look for investment opportunities. These searches are tailored to your personalized filters so you only get the details you need.

Stock screeners are also known as share screeners or stock scanners. It is a collection of holdings that you can use to set filters to display lists of holdings that match your criteria.

WallStreetZen’s free stock screener application restricts all current stocks. These are based on specific variables such as sales, market capitalization, earnings, sales, operating profit, profit margins and important financial metrics. The latter includes the P / E ratio (price-earnings ratio), the P / E ratio (debt-equity ratio), the ROE (stock return) and much more.

However, you should remember that qualitative factors are not things that you can easily check in stock screeners. Some of these are the quality of the company’s products, long-term business strategies, disruptive technologies, and the like. To do this, you need to learn these as part of your general stock research process.

While WallStreetZen’s screener is pretty straightforward, it’s easy to navigate and understand.

Advantages of WallStreetZen

WallStreetZen allows you to look at a company that you want to research and focus on. The website takes you to a page with information that includes company details, stock price, sales, market capitalization, and value for money. look at it Apple (AAPL) again:

WallStreetZen shines when it comes to providing simple and understandable analyzes. Each stock has a Zen Score that determines and rates each company based on these factors.

  • forecast
  • rating
  • performance
  • Dividends
  • Finances

As you can see above, AAPL’s rating score is currently low. This is because the stock price has performed incredibly over the past year, outperforming its fundamentals. This is also where you’ll see a high score for performance.

Each page even combines news articles quoting the company. This is a great way to keep up with current events and news that may affect the company’s share price.

The great thing about WallStreetZen is that it’s completely free. So, it’s a great addition to you and any investor’s research library.

Objective analysis with no hidden agenda

Financial models that WallStreetZen uses have no hidden agendas or personal biases. They offer the same quantitative analysis for every listed stock.

Automated Due Diligence does the work for you

What’s great is that you don’t have to run DCF models and build spreadsheets to keep track of changes. WallStreetZen performs automated due diligence on the latest financial data. Then you will get all the results you need in simple, one-line details.

Only the essentials

Instead of grabbing each page until the data overload is reached, they choose key metrics that every investor should focus on. They also help you visualize the industry and the historical context behind each number.

Minimalistic, clean and slim

It is important to WallStreetZen to provide a great user experience for everyone. So they made things clean, sleek, minimal, and easy to use.

This is perfect for investors who aren’t interested in the clunky and cramped interfaces of classic brokers. WallStreetZen also does this for analysis and stock research websites.

Compared to most stock research sites that are filled and crowded with excessive data, WallStreetZen takes a minimalist approach. Everything is simple and clean, so you can focus on all the data you need to make great investment decisions.

WallStreetZen Review: Limitations

It’s hard to find a free service. I can only imagine that WallStreetZen is in beta mode. Things can change when you’re used to a particular format.

However, all of its distinctive features and its focus on user experience make it the must-have and most reliable website for stock research. This is best for investors who want stock research with less noise and more insight.

Is WallStreetZen For You?

If you are new to basic analysis, you can use WallStreetZen for guidance and training. This is a great way to learn how to practice the basic analytical skills you need.

Overall, this is a great free resource for the beginner who doesn’t want to analyze annual reports or financial statements. The graphs and charts are beautifully designed and easy to read. The stock screener is simple but very functional.

Seasoned investors who like the data and details will likely need to look elsewhere. Services like Stock Rover or Finbox are some great options for those who want a thorough experience.
